Lane United is pleased to announce some exciting news for the 2018 home field and opening game! LUFC will be kicking off the season by giving away FREE ADMISSION to the season opener this Saturday at Les Schwab Sports Park at 7PM. The Reds will be facing the Vancouver Victory. This game will be the last chance for many of the trialists to clench a spot on this season’s roster before the roster is finalized. Come see what this season’s Lane United squad is all about.
(2018 LUFC home field rendering)
This season the Reds will be playing on a new pitch so they can have a better playing surface. It will be a great new field for the boys. Having said that, the permanent bleachers around the new field won’t be installed until the league home opener on May 20. There will be limited seating but plenty of standing room, and the Red Aces grand stand behind the goal.
As always, Lane United’s favorite beer and ciders will be available at the game, brought to you by Oakshire Brewing and 2Towns Cider house. This game will feature one of Eugene’s favorite food trucks, Taco Intrusion. And this season’s LUFC kits and other new merchandise will be available to purchase at our march tent.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the home opener this Saturday to cheer the Reds onto a successful 2018 season!
LUFC is proud to announce the return of our fearless captain and three time Red, Jon Stadler.
Jon Stadler – A solid defender transferred from Oregon State to Milwaukee after his freshman season. Steady backline presence earned him Second Team All-Horizon League honors following his junior season. Stadler set career-highs in games playing all 19 games logging 1,634 minutes. He helped his team record six shutouts.
“I honestly didn’t think we would sign Jon this year, as he recently finished up with college career and was really close to singing a pro contract. I’m a bit surprised he hasn’t latched on somewhere to be honest, but I think I can speak for all us here at the club when I say we are delighted to welcome him back. He brings great experience, leadership and passion each and every day and he will certainly strengthen our back line this year as we look to improve on that from last year. Our goal for Jon is to make sure he has a good campaign for us, stays in good form and hopefully gets picked up by a USL club.” Says John Galas
Lane United is pleased to announce some more partnerships for this season: Level Up Arcade, Oregon Medical Group and Synergy teamed up with Food For Lane County.
Level Up Arcade will be this season’s official viewing partner for Lane Untied FC. Level Up has already hosted our Ticket Launch on April 21 to kick off this partnership. As one of the most successful and fun arcades around Eugene. Inside Level Up you will find lots of standup arcade games, a few cocktail games, drivers shooter, golf, a long wall of pinball games and more. We are excited to be spending a lot more time with the Level Up team and fans this season.
Oregon Medical Group will be the official primary care based, multispecialty physician group of Lane United FC. With offices throughout the Eugene/Springfield area, the group consists of internists, family practitioners, pediatricians, obstetricians / gynecologists and specialists including orthopedics, otolaryngology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pain management, podiatry, rheumatology, dermatology, sports medicine and neurology.
