April 8, 2018

LUFC commits two more Creighton University BlueJays to strengthen this season’s squad, Connor Ramlo and Dominic Valdivia.

Connor Ramlo joins LUFC as a redshirt freshman and center back from Cedar Rapids Iowa. At Xavier High School Ramlo earned all-state, all-conference, all-tournament and all-metro honors during the 2014 season. “I am excited to join Lane United FC for the summer to compete in the PDL. I hope that we can be successful as a team while also improving individually to further our development as players.” Says Ramlo.

“Having played in 12 matches for Creighton last year Connor comes us with great experience having competed in the Big East Conference. We are all looking forward to welcoming him to the club as he looks to help anchor our back line this year. Over the years’ we’ve had a history of brining in quality defenders, and we expect Connor to fit in well this our 2018 squad.” – John Galas

Dominic Valdivia – With our fifth and final member from Creighton, Valdivia joins LUFC from Loyola California. He is in his freshman year and is a classic, clinical #9 and all around athlete. A dual sport athlete, Valdivia captained his high school team to the D1 High School State championship while also playing baseball. “I feel great going into this PDL season. I’m excited to play with some of my teammates from Creighton as well as new players from all over. I’m hoping we have a great season and a lot of success throughout the summer!” Says Valdivia.

“Dominic didn’t feature in too many matches for Creighton last fall, however in speaking its the Creighton coaching staff he is highly regarded and coming here to Lane United this summer will only help prepare him for an important fall campaign. We are all very much looking forward to welcoming him to the club and expect him to compete for playing time immediately.”-John Galas
