Jordan Jones Signs with RGVFC Toros
We are thrilled to announce another former Lane United FC Red who has signed with a USL club. Jordan Jones has signed with Houston Dynamo’s USL affiliate club, RGVFC Toros, announced yesterday.
” Jordan is such an athletic, hard-working goal scorer, I think he will fit in well with the Toros, and have a successful first year as a pro. He has worked so hard on his craft, and this is well deserved” – John Galas
Jones was drafted by Los Angeles FC with the 47th overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft. The Pacific Grove, California native played for Oregon State University where he scored 29 goals and dished four assists during his college career. Jones was named to the Second Team All-Pacific 12 Conference in 2016 and 2017.
Jones was a member of the 2015 and 2016 LUFC squad. During his time Jordan was the first-choice strike partner for Khiry Shelton. Jones joined LUFC from Oregon State where, as a freshman, he started 16 of the Beavers’ 21 matches and knocked in 8 goals, good for third on the team.
“I enjoyed the two seasons I spend with Lane United. I am very thankful for the time and effort John Galas put into my development as a player and couldn’t have asked for a better group of players to be around. There was always a very high standard with everything done at the club, which was something I really appreciated. I wish nothing but the best for John, his staff, and the rest of the team as they prepare for the upcoming PDL season.” – Jordan Jones
