Lane United Announce Return of Lowrimore and Anderson
Lane United FC has announced that center-half Brenden Anderson and goalkeeper Chris Lowrimore will be returning to the team for the 2015 Premier Development League (PDL) season. Lowrimore secured league approval last week while Anderson was approved yesterday. The announcement means that the number of players committed to the team for 2015 now stands at 11, eight of whom are returners from the 2014 inaugural season.
Anderson, playing as a senior for Oregon State in the fall 2014 NCAA season, picked up where he had left off for the Beavers, starting in defense for all but two matches — the only two matches he has not started in three full seasons in Corvallis. He continued his partnership with goalkeeper Matt Bersano, also returning to Lane United in 2015, as the Beavers’ defense recorded seven shutouts on their way to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Lowrimore, a Utah native, was the first-choice goalkeeper for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in their 2014 campaign after spending his first two seasons as a backup behind more senior starters. He split playing time at goalkeeper with Matt Bersano during the 2014 Lane United season.
Anderson and Lowrimore join returners Matt Arbogast, Matt Bersano, Casey Phillips, Daley Stevens, Dirk van der Velde and Rolando Velazquez on the 2015 Lane United roster. Three of Anderson’s Oregon State Beavers teammates will be joining Lane United for the first time: forwards Timmy Mueller, Devonte Small and Jordan Jones all committed at the beginning of February.
More player announcements will continue during the coming weeks, so make sure to keep track of the Lane United blog, newsletter, and social media feeds for more information.
