LUFC League Opener vs TSS FC Rovers
The Northwest Conference opens up tomorrow night with Lane United vs TSS Rovers in beautiful British Columbia at 7:00 PM at Swanguard Stadium. This will be the first match for TSS Rovers at home this year. Swanguard Stadium is a special place for the Rovers, as it is the former playing grounds of Canadian National Teams as well as the Vancouver 86ers.
The Rovers are coached by Colin Elmes, who holds a Canadian Soccer Association National B License and is also the owner of the club. While and club general manager, Will Cromack will work as his assistant coach with the help of another friend to work as a video analyst, and a colleague of Elmes’ will work as the goalkeeper coach.
The Lane United Red’s are coming off of a great performance against Starphire FC with a resounding 5-2 win. The match showed the improvement in the attack that coach John Galas has been working on throughout the week’s training sessions. This will be the first test in the PDL for both TSS and LUFC.
“We’ve had a good couple of weeks in preparation for the opener. We were able to play a few friendlies, look at a few different lineups and systems and we are excited to finally open league play. We’ll be missing a few key players, however I think we’ve had a great week of training and I think the boys will be up for the challenge Monday night. “ says coach a John Galas.
The Reds take off for Vancouver today. Tomorrow’s Kick off is at 7pm at Swanguard Stadium.
